- "A great free resource for teachers looking for a video game about consent. Although the game teaches about consent it does so through metaphor and never discusses sex.
A real-world version of "ADRIFT" was re-created for the MOD. Museum at the University of South Australia as part of their exhibition "Hedonism." Museum visitors were able to interact with the exhibition in order to better understand the principles and importance of consent."
In "ADRIFT" the player controls a member of an interplanetary salvage crew which has encountered a seemingly abandoned spaceship. The player interact's with the ship's AI in order to rescue the AI.
If the player correctly follows all of the steps involved they will learn about consent at the same time. This game is appropriate for ALL ages - there is no mention of sex whatsoever.
"ADRIFT" is a short game, taking 15 - 30 minutes on average to play. At the end of the game the player is told if they properly received consent in all scenarios. Players are encouraged to re-play the game if there were any errors in their gameplay.
