TalkMan TalkMan is basically a translation tool for six languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. It allows the user to choose the topic at hand and if he speaks a related sentence in his language into the included microphone the tool translates it, complete with voice rendering. He can also choose between given statements, along with other functions like a unit converter or a alarm clock.

But TalkMan also features a "game mode" with two mini games. As expected these try to improve the player's listening and speaking skills. In the listening game Max, a blue bird and the tool's mascot, speaks one phrase in all languages (minus the player's native language) and the player has to guess its meaning by choosing one of four given answers. In the second game Max reads out a phrase in a language along with the translation into the player's native language. The the player has to repeat it and the the game gives a score based on his accentuation. Both games feature 25 difficulty levels. [source:mobygames]
