Jellia's Friends is the 3rd place winning game of the 2010 Life. Love. Game Design Challenge. The contest's challenge was to create a video game intentionally designed to engage and educate young people about the issue of teen dating violence without using any violence in the game itself. The contest is run by the Gaming Against Violence program, an initiative of the nonprofit organization Jennifer Ann's Group.
Teen dating violence is a public health issue. This video game is intended to increase awareness, educate youth, and to change unhealthy attitudes or beliefs regarding dating relationships.
Jellia's Friends was developed by Rachel Ponce of Batty Media. The game was published by Life Love Publishing and produced by Jennifer Ann's Group.
