Reader Rabbit Personalized 2nd Grade starts with a mysterious note from Reader Rabbit to Sam the Lion. Sam is requested to meet said Rabbit at the castle in the forest. Sam learns that Reader Rabbit is in need of rescue, and he must overcome many challenges to save his friend.
Sam then finds himself in the dungeon and, by solving puzzles and problems, earns points to rescue Read Rabbit and escape the castle. The story teaches several disciplines, including reading, writing, math, and science in progressive stages as the adventure unfolds.
