Hot Rod Monster Squad is a racing game that you control with your mind! The game, intended for children ages 7 to 14 makes use of the Attention Trainer system developed by East3 (and originally intended for children suffering from ADD). To play the game the player puts on the wireless Thought Caster helmet. This helmet, based on NASA technology can read brain activity in the player. This means that the system knows how much the child is focusing on the game and can translate this into game elements, such as decreasing break and turning speeds when the player loses focus. This trains the children to stay focused and easily slip into a focused state of mind.

The game itself is presented in a cartoon style influenced by horror movies from the 1940s and 50s. The player can choose from 6 characters (which each their unique vehicle), and three different courses to race on. [source:mobygames]
