Custody is an experimental art game created for the 2009 Global Game Jam by the USA Santa Cruz group Team Akrasia. The game is based around two parents who are divorced and now lead separate, independent lives. Cast in the middle of the screen, the player controls a 12-year-old child who is put in between them. The parents set their boundaries and the child can move between them, with a green and a red zone in the middle.
While playing objects appear on the screen. These can be picked up, moved around and dropped, but they vanish after a while. The player's character can move about the two zones and mirror movement with a button press.
