A cross-promotional game intended to build buzz for the then-upcoming Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time, this mini-game puts the player back in control of platform games' first and greatest Persian prince, navigating a miniature dungeon laid out according to the rules and conventions of the original Prince of Persia -- running, jumping, and climbing on and around pressure pads, loose tiles and spike traps. Some magic potions are strewn about to help or hinder you (you takes your chances...), and once a sword can be found, a few enemies attend stations, just waiting for another chance to chop the Prince into mincemeat.
The game's story is a trifling afterthought -- something about navigating through the dungeons of the usurping Vizier Jaffar in order to reach the throne room in time (now down to a very trim eight minutes) to prevent him from unleashing the awesome power of the Sultan's greatest armaments: the Sands of Time! Once the dungeons are navigated, a boss fight awaits in the throne room to determine the final outcome.
