Serious Game Classification

5 A Day Adventures is an educational game sponsored by the Dole Food Company aimed at teaching young children about nutrition and exercise.

The game presents the player with a game board mapping out 8 different activities. Most of these activities offer a brief lecture on some topic, usually delivered by an anthropomorphic piece of produce. Then, the player can select to play the Challenge or the Ultimate Challenge for that activity.

The Challenge for each segment involves some kind of trivia, sometimes multiple choice and sometimes interactive. The Ultimate Challenge is a series of yes/no questions (where the answer always seems to be yes). Correctly answering Challenge questions earns the player tokens while answering Ultimate Challenge questions earns the player golden stars. There are a number of spaces on the game board which have to be filled with both 1 token and 1 gold star in order to win the game. [source:mobygames]
